LilPuzzler is a tool designed for parents, teachers, and educators to generate puzzles for children. Our services and user accounts are strictly intended for use by adults and teens aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for an account or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

3. Information We Collect

LilPuzzler provides both anonymous (login-less) puzzle generation and registered accounts. We collect the following information:

• Account Information: If you choose to register, we collect your email address, full name, selected persona (parent, teacher, or individual), and marketing preferences (newsletter opt-in).
• Usage & Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Vercel Analytics to collect non-identifiable usage data. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, page views, and interactions with the site (such as puzzle generation activity).
• Cookies: We use cookies to manage sessions, store settings, and support analytics.

4. Data Retention & Security

Retention: For registered accounts, we retain your profile data as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your profile records are removed immediately from our databases. Non-identifiable analytics data is retained for up to 14 months before automatic deletion.

Security: We encrypt data in transit via HTTPS and utilize secure cloud partners (Google Cloud and Vercel) to protect your information.

5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.

How to Exercise Your Rights: If you have an account, you can manage, update, or permanently delete your profile directly from your settings panel. If you use the service anonymously, no PII is retained in our databases; you can clear your browser cookies to reset your data footprint.

• Firebase Authentication: To manage user identity and sign-ins securely.
• Resend: To send transactional emails (e.g. welcome message, password resets).
